Hi, haven't been able to get into minecraft since this morning. I have tried reinstalling, removing completely and installing, and I have tried different versions. Nothing works.. I use a Linux OS (operating System). This is the error I get:
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release
Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.client.main.Main

    If anyone has ideas thanks!!

Try deleting your .minecraft (I would recommend saving it).

@Bacon I have tried all the versions and nothing. I found some information that is it people with Linux OS that are having trouble. There is an open ticket on Mojang's support page. So, hopefully, It will get fixed before the anniversary this weekend. If not, well....... :(

Looked into it a bit and all Linux users are having this issue. For anyone else who is a linux user, here's a helpful link. Compare your issues to this and see if they are the same.

Hi. My friend plays Minecraft on a Linux OS pc and was having the same issues as yourself with getting error codes when launching your game. Here, is a link to the older versions of the launcher. After some testing, the Linux alternative launcher should be working fine. Try using it, it worked for my friend who was having the same issue.

Let me know if this works, thanks!
