[MA] Loot Balancing

    So, @Masteraj12 and I have been brainstorming a suggestion to balance out gamemode "Loot". As of now, Loot is completly RNG. Someone could potentially spawn with full leather with a wooden sword and full diamond with a diamond sword.

    What does it do?
    I believe the system should work as a "point" system. Each player is required to get 28-30 "points" of armor/swords and 10 points of potions. Each piece of armor would be set a point value:

    - Wooden Sword = 3 Points
    - Stone Sword = 5 Points
    - Iron Sword = 7 Points
    - Diamond Sword = 10 Points

    Leather =
    Helmet: 1
    Chestplate: 3
    Pants: 2
    Boots: 1

    Chain =
    Helmet: 2
    Chestplate: 5
    Pants: 3
    Boots: 2

    Iron =
    Helmet: 3
    Chestplate: 7
    Pants: 5
    Boots: 3

    Diamond =
    Helmet: 6
    Chestplate: 10
    Pants: 7
    Boots: 6

    Each potion could also have a point value (8-9 points a person):

    Damage - 3
    Regen - 6
    Strength - 5
    Speed - 5

    Each player would spawn in with armor and a sword that is equal to 28-30 and potions equal to 8-9.

    Pros?
    - VERY fair balancing.
    - Prevents people from spawning in full leather with a wood sword/full diamond and diamond sword
    - Balanced Potions

    Cons?
    - Very complicated system

    Full support of this, it will take a lot of work and brainstorming to balance out the point system and find that "perfect" balance, but it would make the game a lot more enjoyable than it is now.

    Just a fix, leather and chain boots give the same armor value, same thing with chain and iron helmet. Chage the points for those

    Well, leather leggings have around the same effect as chain helmets. So, they should be worth around the same. (also, the same as chain -> iron)

    I think that this could seriously change the way people think about loot in general. Obviously this took a lot of brainstorming, which by itself is impressive. Obviously I have my opinions on the point values, and here they are:
    • Decrease Diamond Chestplate from 10 to 9
    • Increase Iron Pants from 5 to 6
    • Decrease Speed from 5 to 4
    • Increase Strength from 5 to 6
    • Decrease Diamond Boots from 6 to 5
    • Increase Iron Boots from 3 to 4
    That's it. Again, this is a very impressive point system you have come up with and I for one wouldn't mind it being implemented. Great job overall. :)

    I agree with this as well. As aj said in his reply, staff are going to find the perfect balance. This is just a general idea. But, good idea regardless.

    Is damage the poison pot? Because if so I honestly think it's the best potion in the game, it's so powerful and imo needs a nerf itself but in this case should be more than just 3 points.

    Also I believe that the enderpearl in the enderman kit should be able to hit the border instead of going through it because once it lands outside the border, since the border deals about 1 heart a second, its basically automatic death or puts you a a huge disadvantage. If this change was to be made then this would make more people get this kit and make fights more even. A con would be it could get too OP but a simple way to solve that would to be making the cool down time longer or limiting it's uses to a certain amount per loot game. And Btw I completely agree draconium, with minor changes to that like baseball said, that could very well make the games more even and make loot played a lot more.

    I think instead of having Wood Sword even be an option, everyone should at least have a stone sword.
