MCI 3.0 BETA RELEASED

    Hey Mayhemians,

    We've just released the MCI 3.0 Beta and are excited to see you all on!

    Here is a quick overview of some of the major changes, you'll have to hop in to see the rest.

    • Infected classes were almost all changed Infected levels now grant cosmetics instead of kit upgrades
    • We now track survivor and infected stats independently
    • Some prestige perks now have tiers, which means they can be leveled up by spending more prestige tokens
    • Survivors have 20 ranks instead of 25
    • When you prestige, ranking up gets 5% more expensive for each prestige you have
    That's it for me! Go on ahead and try it out for yourself.
    We want to be making changes fairly often with this, so if there is something you guys don't like or something you like a lot, leave a comment and express any feedback you have.

    What a great launch. Fantastic work staff!

    Gonna drop some quick cosmetic ideas:

    Zombie/Mz/Bz: Maybe change the brains to a different type of food? (I.e pork, steak, bread, and maybe other non-edible items)

    Skeleton: ???

    Enderman: Maybe make the tp noise something else?

    Vamp: Maybe make it so when you leech life from someone, a particle effect plays. That effect can change?

    IG: Maybe change the block that you can throw to a specific block that isn't on any of the maps?

    Witch: ???

    Slime: ???

    Blaze: Maybe fireball skins?

    W. Skele: Headshot effect that can be changed?

    Werewolf: Change the howl noise? Strength hit effects?

    My thoughts(if it’s not mentioned it’s balanced or not enough information)

    Skeleton: this is essientally a better zombie all it does is trade 1 heart of healing per kill to a bow making skeleton much more viable in varying situations. Therefore I believe that the weapon should only deal 3 damage

    Enderman - this kit is so heavily used once 10+ infected the game is over in he next 30s. The kit itself is quite fair high damage low armor/loss of health but the teleport is the killer the 5s teleport cooldown is to short as soon as you kill one it will be back before you even kill the next if your last survivor therefore I think the cooldown should be made 7s.

    Vampire - needs a slight armor buff maybe 1/2-1 bars

    Blaze - seeing as blaze is the only cc class seemingly it’s fireball needs to be buffed currently the fireball has to be direct hit, doesn’t shoot exactly on cursor, can be hit back/away, infected can hit fireball, infected can block fireball, and it’s cooldown is wacky.
    First of all I think infected should not interact with the fireball this way when tanking the blaze doesn’t have to be alone to hit multiple humans and also the only counter is the human punch.
    Secondly each cooldown for he fireball should be unique as when you use 2 fireballs in a fight the cooldown won’t start until the last is used which makes it beneficial to waste the ability of low usage left.
    3rdly having 1 or 2 fireballs upon death will instantly get restocked to 3 and if none you stay with none until cooldown is done.

    Wolf - bring damage bonus down to 20%. 30% is to much (Scarecrow in 2.0 with str1 could do 4 hearts a hit max fright wood sword to 3/4 iron but fright was a variable bloodlust isn’t its usually always there)

    Maps look dated they should get a retexture not a remake

    Knockback - Could go to Tier III we’re as commander it’s a stone sword

    Throwing knives - possible 3 Tiers
    Tier I - 1 throwing knife (1 token)
    Tier II - 2 throwing knives (1 token)
    Tier III - 3 throwing knives (3 tokens)

    Marksman tiered
    Tier I - get 1 extra arrow per 2 ranks (doesn’t include how) (1 token)
    Tier II - start at rank 1 with a bow and 5 arrows + Tier 1 (current marksman).


    Kit cosmetics:
    Death messages - will write some tomorrow
    Unique particles - ^
    Trails - ^


    Cosmetic issues:
    Trails turn not completely solid blocks to its trail which can cause players to get stuck on blocks (Chests, Soulsand

    Dropping feedback real quick:
    1: IG is too powerful
    2: Enderman still takes no skill to play and is no fun to play against. Please remove or rework.
    3. Remove paywall from most basic kits (like Skeleton). People are ok with a few perks for donors. You have to make money somehow.
    4. Game is really new player unfriendly. New players are at such a disadvantage that it often makes it very unfun for them. Even with level 20 being the limit, they're still overpowered. You have a major balancing issue. Buff lower ranks, nerf higher ranks.
    5. I would like to see kits get minor buffs for leveling them up, but tone them down from last time. This gives you a lot more reason to be infected, and it gives a feeling of accomplishment.
    6. There are plenty of good builders out there... Please get some to make the maps less... ugly. A lot of them are really bad...
    7. Add a compass pointing to last survivor that way Enderman isn't necessary for a win, and can be taken out of need be.
    Bugs: Fences and bars look really weird, as well as doors.
    Trying the command /donor perks kicks me from game.

    Kits are really unbalanced right now.

    The base kit is zombie, with full chain armour (48% damage reduction) and a wooden sword. It's a fine kit. Skeleton has the exact same stats AND a bow? How does that make sense? Iron golem has same damage AND iron armour (60% damage reduction) AND a pvp ability? Witch has the same armour and damage as zombie with a passive ability of debuffing survivors. Vamp has same damage as zombie with a passive ability of gaining half a heart per hit with ONLY A DIAMOND HELM? The tiny bit of life steal doesn't make up for it's garbage armour. Then there's wither skeleton with less armour and slightly more damage than skeleton.

    Skeleton needs an armour reduction down to full leather armour or close to it. It's only natural for the ranged kit to have less armour than the kit that actually runs in and fights. Or at least reduce it's melee damage. The fact that it has a bow makes it a great kit, it doesn't need these stats.

    Wither skeleton is still an unnecessary kit. Before it was the same as blaze, now it's the same as skeleton.

    Vampire is extremely garbage. It currently has only 12% armour reduction with standard damage. That's a quarter of zombie's armour. And nothing but half a heart for every hit to make up for it. Give this kit diamond pants alone (24%) at very least.

    Iron Golem has the exact same damage as zombie with iron armour (60%) AND an ability to deal damage? Nerf it's damage to 3.

    Witch has the same armour and damage as zombie (With armour equivalent to full chain) and a passive ability. Just make it full gold armour (44%).

    Enderman was tremendously nerfed to a 15 second teleport cooldown and standard damage. It's pretty weak now but I won't protest because this kit isn't just PVP. It has teleport and the ability to catch campers. But witch, iron golem and vampire all act the same way as zombie BUT iron golem and witch have obviously better stats with an ability and vampire has tremendously worse stats with an ability that obviously doesn't make up for it. Skeleton doesn't act the same as zombie and can sit back and shoot survivors from a safe distance, therefore it doesn't need the same damage and armour. Skeletons should be punished for being reached by survivors but they sit in the same position as zombies in PVP.

    These kits are so obviously out of balance... fix it up.

    Remove/nerf any OP ladder spots that you somehow let into the game as well.

    hahahaha justice is served! non donors are now intentionally punished for not supporting the server XD

    sure no problem, the new concept will be: rank 1 is full iron, and as you rank up you progress towards full leather. now its balanced

    look, everybody was reset so now we are all back at 0. Many of us lost months of progress and arent complaining, so complain less about it being ‘unfair‘ and just get gud

    2.im not sure if this was posted post or pre enderman nerf but right now it seems balanced maybe even under powered. Do keep in mind enderman was only busted because at least 70% if the server have it due to most veterans being donors and seeing its kill potential against leathers and low ranks early on is an easy draw card for the kit.

    3. Kits behind paywall are fine if you played 1.0 you would see that it wasn’t a major issue and made it much easier to balance out humans and infected. With this being said at some stage they would most likely become unlockable

    4. New players as leathers will not be disadvantaged when compared to older players when they were leathers as no kit progression. And currently there are no perks that make commander virtually impossible to kill and removal of healing and grenades is surely going to noticeable late game . You can’t state this without see how it plays out.

    5. The whole point of the game is that you don’t want to be infected and adding insentive to be infected so that your infected is better is bad. In 2.0 you would see a mass of people relog because they could level up infected to the point they were better than most humans. Also if you want to game to be balanced adding extra power to kits no matter how minute means when making changes both sides have to be accounted for such as how the weak does against leathers and the strong against irons.

    6. They’re not ugly just outdated though I agree some need some block updates.

    7. No, simply put all the big maps were removed adding a compass is just way to unfair for infected even is last survivor. Also enderman isn’t needed for the win it’s just how it works with it seemingly picking off players 1 by 1 as enderman is screwed by grouping good against lone targets.

    I like a lot of the edits; however... this is a 3.0, being new and updated, I am really, really hoping something NEW gets added (and for it to not just be a mass compilation of things removed with slight edits)
    ...whether it is 1-2 new prestige perks, 1-2 unique infected kits, power-ups, mini (sub) events, rare special/new gamemode events, clan system, or something.
    ...otherwise, I really dont see this game surviving for too much longer in the future, esp as MC is on the decline - 2.0 was (getting) bland, so even if 1.0 returned, itd still be a bit bland. But this is a mix of 2.0 and 1.0, so there really needs to be a new touch/flavor (not referring to removed/reworked content) to retain new and esp old players. Nostalgia alone wont keep regular players.


    I also agree that...
    – new players are still doomed from the start and need a sort of temporarily buff (perhaps resistance I or II for having less than 3 hours of game time, or have them start at rank 5-12 for example)
    – and there should be a compass available with maybe 15-20 seconds left.


    Really cool to see the game revived tho, lets keep it going ;D

    I think the point of 3.0 is to attempt to balance the game. The biggest change is the fact that every prestige makes ranks cost 5% more and prestige perks costing more tokens through tiers. Personally I'm not too fond of this because, like master prestiges, it's merely there to postpone players reaching an over powered level. But at least It's not taking steps backwards like master prestige. I really hated the idea of gaining 20 prestige tokens worth of perks and lose them all for 2 perma perks. But I understand, personally I was hoping for a whole survivor rank rework.

    Buffing new players has been suggested a million times, but it's not that easy. It will only make them hate the game once the buff wears off. And they'll hate starting at rank 1 after prestiging when they started at rank 10 at prestige 0. But there was a suggestion someone made a while back to increase the armour of all low ranks and change the weapon to a wooden sword which I thought was a fantastic idea. I'm sad that survivor ranks are still mostly the same with only commanders having a little less food.

    Edit: Fear not, the rankup system will be seeing a rework :).

    this is the only thing I'm not sure what to think about. I think it's good thing that new players have an easier time ranking up than the 'better' (more time invested in the game) players. But it doesn't sound right that a prestige 20 person needs doubble the cookies than a new player to get from Private to Commander.
