(MCI) Infected Outfits/Costumes

    I am doing a custom thread, instead of using the format, because this is a pretty long and in-depth idea. So, those of you that have played PvZ Garden Warfare 1 or 2 know that for each main class, there are many, many outfits and different variants of the characters that you can also use. These variants are unlocked through packs of cards, and sometimes unlock a special ability for the class. Well, I think you guys know where I'm going with this. Essentially Infected Outfits-when you select a class to be, you can also select a special outfit. I will list some outfits later on in this thread, but feel free to give your outfit ideas in the comments below. Before I do that, though, I'd like to present you with the pros of the ideas.

    Disclaimed- Do not comment below saying this idea is OP, and makes Infected too powerful. It is aimed to just give the class a little boost, if an idea is a little too op, I will change it. :)

    1. Gives people more things to do. In this idea, I aim to have such a huge selection of costumes, it will be nearly impossible for someone to get all of them
    2. Infected are a little boring. The old zombie gets a bit boring after a while, so how about a MILK MAN Zombie, which spawns with 2 milk buckets which it can drink to regain an extra .5 heart each? Or a Scout Skeleton, which can draw back its bow a little faster than the average skeleton?
    3. More people donating: Maybe each rank can unlock a special outfit for their rank, such as Spaz Zombie, which is in all yellow armor, or Mayhem Skeleton, which is in rainbow armor. The rank outfits don't have to do anything special, just a cool costume. Also, you can throw these costumes in the seasonal packages, such as Santa Zombie, or Elf Endermen.
    4. More stuff to add to the game: Maxben and Jackson are working hard to always bring new stuff to the game, but they are running dry on their two main things that are easy to add-companions and Infected classes. Costumes/Outfits would be easy to add in a quick little update.
    5. @Rod337 said we could do something like weekly infected class previews, where you can play as the class. Well how about instead of certain classes, do two certain infected outfits, like, just for example, Milkman Zombie and Scout Skeleton one week, the next, Angel Skeleton and Cookie Baby Zombie.
    6. It will encourage people to try out lots of different classes they may of rarely tried previously. For example if you never use basic zombie, and you get Astronaut Zombie (f.e.), you will want to try out the new kit.
    NEW 7. Kind of adding on to stuff above, when you get Mayhem + you have all the Infected Classes, but you can still collect the costumes like any normal player. Also, you still have stuff in the shop to buy, including the Infected Costume Bundles.

    Another disclaimer- Yes, I know your armor colors are on both your human and your infected, but as of right now, you can't see the custom colors on the infected. This idea would make it so you CAN see the special armor on the infected. And also, if the armor colors that are already in the game do get in the way of this idea, then I don't think it would be very hard to make it so the armor colors only affect you as human.
    Now, granted, only a few classes can actually get costumes. Some, like Turkey, and wolf, can't wear armor, and the Endermen is just a zombie in black armor, so it would be confusing if I were to give Endermen outfits. The follow classes can recieve outfits:
    • Zombie, Skeleton, Baby zombie, Grinch, Wither Skeleton, Leprechaun, Phantom, Easter Bunny, Headless Horseman, Scarecrow
    The rest of the classes can't use outfits.

    Also, costumes can be unlocked through a special new thing in the game called the Dress-up 3000. It costs 150 tokens per spin, a brand new currency created specifically for the DU3k (Dress-up 3000 for short xD). Tokens are a currency based around Infected, considering they are used for them. You get 5 tokens per human kill (when you're infected), and 1 token per each kill human someone else gets (when you're infected). Also, you get 10 tokens per Infected win. Each outfit will be determined as either common, uncommon, rare, or legendary, and it will tell you when you spin it. If you spin an extra outfit you already have, you get 50 tokens. The DU3k will be an enderchest in the MCI hub.

    Note - The majority of the Costumes will have no effect or special perk, and will simply be Cosmetics. The costumes that grant the infected small boosts/perks will usually be slightly rarer than the non-perk costumes.

    Outfit Name: Milk Man Zombie
    Special Ability: Spawns with 2 Milk Buckets, healing .5 heart each
    Rare level in DU3k: Common
    Appearance: Zombie with white-dyed armor

    Infected Class:
    Skeleton
    Outfit Name: Scout Skeleton
    Special Ability: Gains swiftness II for 3 seconds after shooting someone
    Rare level in DU3k: Common
    Appearance: Skeleton with dark green leather armor

    Infected Class: Baby Zombie
    Outfit Name: Cookie Baby Zombie
    Special Ability: For every token you receive, you gain an extra cookie
    Rare level in DU3k: Rare
    Appearance: Baby zombie with orange dyed chestplate, boots, and pants, and brown dyed helmet

    Infected Class:
    Zombie
    Outfit Name: Zoo Keeper Zombie
    Special Ability: You deal an extra .5 heart every hit to companions
    Rare level in DU3k: Uncommon
    Appearance: Zombie with yellow dyed armor

    Infected Class:
    Leprechaun
    Outfit Name: Cactus Leprechaun
    Special Ability: Thorns I chestplate
    Rare level in DU3k: Legendary
    Appearance: Baby villager with lime boots and chestplate, gold helmet, and black pants.

    Infected Class: Headless Horseman
    Outfit Name: Cowboy Horseman
    Special Ability: Spawns a brown horse rather than a skeleton horse
    Rare level in DU3k: Uncommon
    Appearance: Wither skeleton with pumpkin head, and brown chestplate, pants, and boots.

    Infected Class: Easter Bunny
    Outfit Name: Killer Bunny
    Special Ability: When it is attacked, he gains swiftness I for 2 seconds.
    Rare level in DU3k: Uncommon
    Appearance: Bunny head, red chestplate, pants, and boots.

    Infected Class: Zombie
    Outfit Name: Party Zombie
    Special Ability: Gets three red wool blocks every time it spawns in, nicknamed Confetti bombs. They act like grenades, and when they explode, these release a crazy storm of rainbow particles. They don't really do anything xD just a fun extra thing
    Rare level in DU3k: Legendary
    Appearance: Zombie with rainbow armor.

    Infected Class: Easter Bunny
    Outfit Name: Arctic Bunny
    Special Ability: When it is hit, you gain slowness for 2 seconds
    Rare level in DU3k: Uncommon
    Appearance: Easter bunny hat, white dyed chest, pants, and boots

    Infected Class: Zombie
    Outfit Name: Space suit Zombie
    Special Ability: Gets Jump Boost I for 4 seconds after it gets a kill
    Rare level in DU3k: Rare
    Appearance: Glass block on head (I don't know if this is possible in MCI, but I've seen it on some other servers), white dyed chestplate, pants and boots.

    The possibilities are ENDLESS-literally. Mad Scientist Zombie, Angel Skeleton, Eskimo Baby Zombie... even if this idea isn't added, I had fun making it, and I hope you guys have fun creating some of your own outfits!

    Infected Class: Headless horseman
    Outfit name: Crusader
    Special ability: Throwing a pumpkin on someone's head gives you resistance I for 5 seconds
    Rare level in DU3k: Rare
    Appearance: Iron chest plate and pumpkin head, chain leggings and diamond boots

    I have another one too:

    Infected class: Skely bro (Skeleton)
    Outfit name: Sans
    Special ability: Your arrows turn into a beacon laser. Your lasers (arrows) deal +30% damage and do not arc downwards and does not deal knockback but hitting a survivor has a 20% to not deal any damage
    Rare level in DU3k: Legendary
    Appearance: Blue leather chest plate (maybe a skull that looks like sans)

    I don't know if it's possible to make it so the iron and diamond armor don't give it any extra protection. If it's impossible, maybe switch the iron chestplate for light gray, the chain pants for gray, and the diamond boots for blue.

    No no, headless horseman should get that armor, it is SUPER under powered



















    Jk, I agree with you Nitro, although I hope he can have that armor and it doesn't give him armor points. If we can't we should use your idea

    I think you can edit armor values with some code, but I'm not for sure.

    @Nitromaniac I have some tweaks for a bit of your costume ideas.

    Milk man zombie: Milk should heal 1 heart, but it takes time to drink it. Thus adding more importance to SoH

    Scout: Lol more bow spammers. Instead of drawing the bow back faster it should receive speed II for 3s when it shoots someone

    I like this idea but what if there was a special ability for the zombie like if it can spawn baby zombies perhaps? like the amount of 1-3

    Special ability: Hitting a survivor steals .01 scorestreak (You gain an extra .01ss and the survivor loses .01ss) Note: Say you got an apple from a 3ss, if you go below a 3ss, you do not lose the apple, it is just harder to get the next ss reward
    Rarity: Rare
    Appearance: Grey helmet and chestplate

    Yes seeing how the firework trail is a particle possible to manipulate it would not only be possible, but easy :)
