Disclaimer - This is outdated. Please scroll down to see the October 2018 idea of this. Suggestion Name: Power Rounds Overall idea: Adds "special" rounds every 10 lobbies. Explanation: Every 10 rounds, a "special" round will occur. These special rounds can be from a "No Grenades" round to a "Zombie Kit Only" round. The special round name will be addressed in the chat before the round starts. Types of rounds (Some names may be cheesy, so I might need better names lol): * "No Grenades" (Infected or Human) * "Zombie Kit Only" (If you're infected) * "Degrade" (As a human, you get the stuff from 5 ranks below you) (e.g. If you're rank 25, you get the stuff rank 20 gets, therefor no iron sword and stuff) (If you're rank 5 or below, nothing happens. You cannot go below rank 5) * "Buff'n'debuff" (All infected get Swiftness II, but get Weakness II) * "Scorestreaks no more" You will no longer be able to obtain scorestreaks for the round. (Both infected and humans) and more! I think this will provide of more variety in the gameplay. Note that it is random of which special round will play. You also get more cookies if you win these rounds: "No Grenades": You will win 20 EXTRA cookies if you win (infected or humans win) "Zombie Kit Only": Infected gets 30 EXTRA cookies if they win (Infected only) "Degrade": Humans get 30 EXTRA cookies if they win (Humans only) "Buff'n'Debuff": You will win 10 EXTRA cookies if you win (Infected or humans win) "Scorestreaks no more" You will win 25 EXTRA cookies if you win (Infected or humans win) Note: Some of these may be OP. I tried to make these as less OP as possible, but impacting as much gameplay as possible. EDIT: Updated version October 2018. Disregard the above post. I've kept it there for reference. It's been a year and a half. We've got the rank system revamp, and firefalling. We've successfully pushed those through. Now I believe it's time we band together and encourage Ben to add Power rounds. Lately, me @CREEPER__1 and @baseballaholic22 have been brainstorming on the discord and we've come up with pretty decent ideas. They are nothing like what I have previously suggested, those are dumb I don't know why I suggested those types of rounds though. Anyways, this is how it would work: Every 3-5 rounds would be a "special" round. These special rounds will be voted on, or chosen at random with a random map created specifically for the special round. Here are some absolutely great idea's we've thought of... King of the Hill (Have to secure an area of the map from infected for a certain amount of time) Capture the flag (Needs renamed) (You need to retrieve a lost item and bring it to the restore point somewhere located in the map) Defend the King: (You need to defend the castle and ultimately the king from oncoming infected until it hits daytime, which takes around 4-5 minutes) Reach the objective: (Similar to L4D) (It would be in the style of an adventure map. You would need to traverse the map and make it to the end to successfully win the round without getting infected) I think just these 4 special rounds would be EPIC if they were added. This would make 5 possible rounds in MCInfected 3.0. One last thing I've suggested, it's a stretch and might be breaking the "core" part of old MCI, is that instead of calling it a "special" round, it IS the core part of MCI. Every round it's random. Just like in Mixed Arcade, it's a random minigame and a random map made for that. You can include the current gamemode and name it "Survival" to be able to be chosen to keep that aspect alive. These are still all ideas and input would be great. This and rank revamp would definitely work together. With the changes to the ranking system, you can potentially choose what you want that might work in some rounds, but not it others. Any thoughts? Questions?
