Yeah I always thought minecraft was dying because that's what people always said, I realized that wasn't the case. Minecraft is a tacky yet unique and distinctive game that's remained popular for a long time, and a lot longer to come I should expect.

I couldn't agree more with @Hoozier on this one. Sorry to say it, but the truth of the matter is, the server is dead. When a company stops making profit, that's when they split their losses and shut down. I'm pretty sure the only reason this server hasn't run out of cash at this point is the large chunk that I funded with my pointless booster purchases. The server is gone boys. I'm trying to arrange for one final hurrah

While I agree with this, I do not agree with that it's gone. We still get 15-20 players sometimes and that's the light we need. If we want MCI then a change needs to be done, since these updates and new features are killing MCI.

I could create a server with 15-20 people on it and be better off... We need a reset before someone else makes 3.0 (quite literally).

Minecraft is too dead for someone to start a 3.0

Yea, I think the record was 70+ million active players.

Okay mods and owners alike, here is my take on it:

The server is good, there is no doubt about that.

The problem that made the server into what it is today is the fact that the owners/mods/builders always tried to make everybody happy.

There is a saying, "if you try to please everybody, you will please no one."

If the owners/mods/builders just stuck to one demographic, the server would be fine.

If older players generated more money, make them happy.

If younger, newer players generated more money, make them happy instead.

What ended up happening was that owners/mods/builders tried to make everybody happy, and instead everybody was upset and quit.

Instead of making updates to make everybody happy, make updates to make one party or the other happy.

At this point, while i hate to say it... newer players will probably make more money.

So either you stick with us old players and keep making us more op and awesome, or you destroy us completely like a server reset or a veteran nerf.

Thank you for listening to my rant... :/

P.S: I will still be super angry if there is a reset, but I will understand :/

Here's what my ideal MCI looks like:

Multiple survivor classes that can be separately ranked up with separate perks and possible prestiges.

A master prestige system that gives you something rather than just rewinding - This has such an unprogressive feel to it.

A commander camping prevention to make it much easier for new players.

An infected prestige in which the reward is different for every class as extra hearts is really strong for some kits and useless for others.

IMO we don't have much of a reason to not reset and try something different, otherwise it'll just end.
