As staff members of Project Mayhem, we get questions daily about staff positions and how to obtain the position. As such, we have decided to write up an FAQ to help answer your questions.

You can find staff members on the minecraft server if they have one of the following tags / ranks

    Jr. Mod
    Sr. Mod
    Head Mod

What is a Jr. Moderator? - Jr. Moderator is the rank that players receive when first promoted to be a part of the staff team. Throughout a player’s time as a Jr. Moderator, they will learn the in’s and out’s of being an active staff member, and will be trained by fellow existing moderators and senior staff to prepare them to eventually become a full moderator.

What are the tasks of a Jr. Moderator? - As a Jr. Moderator, players will be tasked with answering questions and helping players on the server/forums, learning the commands that come with the Jr. Moderator rank and how/when to use them, moderating the chat, learning to deal with ban appeals and player reports on the forums, and gathering/recording hacker proof.

    Full FAQ

Q- What is the age requirement?

A- We don’t have an age requirement for applying for Jr. Moderator. As the staff team we look more for maturity and responsibility rather than age. Anyone of any age is allowed to apply for the Jr. Moderator position. Since Project Mayhem opened the ages of the staff members have ranged from 13 to 22, though this doesn't mean you're ineligible to be a staff member if your age is outside of this range of course.

Q- How long will it take to get a response on my application?

A- As the staff team, we don’t respond to staff applications unless they are accepted. We never deny staff applications unless the application made is a troll application. Staff applications are a way to let us as the staff know that you are interested in the Jr. Moderator position. Though applications are important, we look more at how you act and treat others in the community. Do not be worried if you don’t get a response, we are always keeping our eye out for potential new Jr. Moderators, so continue to be the best you possibly can on the server, teamspeak, and forums.

Q- What is the importance of discord in being a staff member?

A- Discord is a very important and fun part of Project Mayhem when it comes to interacting with the community and applying for staff. Some players may not want to be on discord talking with others all the time and that’s understandable. However, being on discord allows us as the staff to get to know who you are as a person and how you act within the community. Discord is a great way to get to know other players and current staff members and is an excellent way to better your chances at receiving Jr. Moderator.

If you want to use the discord, the invite link is https://discord.gg/K4QYmhN. If you do not have it, you can download it here.

NOTE: We will be actively adding more questions / answers to this FAQ as time goes on. Also if you have any other question that aren’t answered in this post please feel free to private message any of the staff members either on the forums or on the server. A list of all the current staff members can be found HERE. If you have any other questions that you feel should be added please feel free to send a private message on the forums to either myself ( @Kendyy ) or @Masteraj12 with the title "Staff FAQ Question."
