Random Spawn Points

    What gamemode is it for:
    This is for MCI 2.0

    What does your suggestion do:
    So, i just thought of this idea and thought it would bring some diversity to the game. Basically, for each map instead of the usual spawn points there would be multiple, you wouldn't be spawned at a different one each time for each death, but instead say that there are different spawn points, named 1 - 5, say spawnpoint 2 was chosen, spawnpoint 2 would be the spawn for that entire round. There would eventually be different spawnpoints for every map.
    Pros of your suggestion:
    • It's a way of making it so that people don't always go to the same spots
    • A way so that people can play the game differently as they wouldn't be doing the same thing as every other time they play the map
    Cons of your suggestion:
    • It may be difficult to code
    • May be time consuming

    Example of how it could look in game:

    Say you were on highrise, you may spawn at the (normal spawn), but next time you play it, you may spawn inside a building

    Other information:
    This could give the game a new dynamic of playstyle and bring diversity to each time you play a map

    Sounds pretty interesting in my opinion, not sure if it'd work out well and I'm a little scared it'd be a little confusing, but not a bad idea, at least I don't think it is a bad idea

    Box mentioned to me about spawn camping, i replied with the idea that you could have a like idk, hologram that shows the spawn tanking line, i don't know how that would be made, but that would be the sort of solution i thought of

    This wouldn’t work for a few maps as some spots are built to work as the only spawn point, and may cause more spawn tanking. Still an interesting concept though.

    yes, but most likely it wouldn't be every single map if this was added.

    If you were not able to spawntank then you would be removing tons of areas for survivors to hide at. The spawn points couldn’t then be completely random because then anywhere you go could be theoretically spawn tanking.

    none of the new maps (except for @ItzCqnadian's maps) have anywhere to hide anyways.

    I forgot to mention that the spots wouldn't be a random x and y value, they would be chosen by either the builders / mods / owners

    Idk, just seems like it would make the game just more complicated for new players. It’s a bit unnecessary because people would still go to the same spots.

    This is ok, I guess, but here are my problems with the idea:
    • Makes spawntanking really confusing, not only for players to manage but for us to monitor.
    • It makes it a lot harder for newer players to get used to the maps.
