[Small / Custom] Skyrise

    Name of the map: Skyrise

    Description of the map: Watch your step! Fight for survival atop the two towers of doom, where dizzying heights and the relentless undead make a deadly combination.

    Extra information: I was inspired to create this map by Call of Duty's zombie map Die Rise, although it should be noted that I only took inspiration from Die Rise and this map is not a re-make of it.

    This map features:
    - Web spots
    - Ewald spot
    - Hidden painting spots
    - Many staff member's heads
    - And fall damage!

    Additional helpers: Nobody helped me create this map

    Looks a bit small tho and yes I understand that it listed under small but it just looks really small

    There's actually a lot more to the map that is kinda hidden, but I don't want to give it away.
    Not shown in the pictures there is:

    3 Painting spots
    1 button/piston spot
    2 web spots
    2 void spots

    none of them are super hidden or broken however.

    This map looks cool, Something new to MCInfected.

    [+] Install Worldedit mod 1.8+ for FORGE, And remove all the grass around the map. (I can do it for you if needed and ill send you completed version).

    I'm going to be honest and say I don't like the map all too much. It's a good idea and I like the concept, but I feel it's way too congested for an MCI map (And trust me, this is coming from someone who prefers small maps). I feel like the potential to bottleneck and completely kill the game is way too high and that the gameplay won't pan out well. As of now, a -1 from me.
    As of now we don't have a set date for a map update. In the future, if we plan on one, we may drop some information and whatnot. But as of now, there theres not much I can offer you.

    like aj said the map is not necessarily too small but too cramped. It seems so easy to spawn-tank it's ludicrous. On visuals: the map has block variation but lacks variation in color, it just seems like a bunch of shades of gray with a u.s flag.

    In my opinion if you're going to submit a map just in general, you should have the default texture pack on. In this case it doesn't matter too much because yours is quite similar except being smoothed over - but I wanted to say this just as a tip to ANYONE submitting maps in the future. <---

    As for my take on the map... Neat if it got added but not the end of the world if it doesn't. I've noticed from previous comments that the layout of the map may not work for MCI as a whole and that might be the case. Maybe it's just me too but the selling point or "Features" of a map shouldn't be the spots. It should be the complex and nice looking layout of the map which lets players discover their own spots just off the terrain. I apologize if my expectation comes across as describing the perfect map cause it's not, just sharing opinions.

    I like the concept of this style of map, but as Aj stated, it looks way to cramped for an MCI map. Yes, hiding spots are apparent, and yes, I like the detail in most areas. But, for overall gameplay, It wouldn't work. I can't tell where spawn is, but I'm guessing that it's at the bottom. If so, its basically a climbing MCI map, which is hard for infected, and its hard for tankers (this could just be me, but it's harder for me to tank/pvp in closed in and cramped ares). My suggestion is making the towers more bigger in size, as well as add another tower or two, and make it less cramped for gameplay.

    Spot on. ^^ Make more towers and bigger towers. And won't spawn protection be in the spawnn tower? Since you will be climbing to the top and infected spawn is under you so you will get poison?

    If infected spawn is per chunk rather than a radius of a center block yes... but I doubt that’s the case.
