/Warp Wild Command

    Of TIM could you please add a /warp wild command to make so much easier to get into the wild instead have to travel 3000+ blocks to make it in to a non raided area.

    /warp wild would cost around maybe 10 minutes to warp there and if new players are the only ones using it, what's the point? Waste 10 minutes of the little 2 hours you have to start out with.

    Why not make it so that for the first hour you play TIM, the usage of /warp wild free (with a short cool down of course)? It'd make it a little easier for newer players, thus bringing in more people.

    If we add a warp wild farther away, all that will happen is that that area will get destroyed and then you'll ask again for it to move etc.

    Solution: Extend the border once you start advertising and add a /randomtp that has a cool down of 10 minutes

    What I think he means by a /warp wild is that it randomly tps you to a location that is far away from spawn. Correct me if I'm wrong @Skillage

    It wouldn't work since people have bases and stuff in the wild and it would suck if somebody was tp'd there

    Maybe have them tp'ed somewhere randomly in a 1000 by 1000 area from surrounding spawn.

    You are correct.

    Yeah that is good.

    Maxben that is thing about fac is your base is never safe. And also make you only spawn on the surface so if there is a skybase uptop then you wont spawn up there.

    Uh, why do we even need this? It's not hard to run from the spawns into the wilderness, just log out when you see diamond peeps, lol.

    But what you don't realize for me personally when I log I lose all my gear besides that, And the warp wild command will make factions so much easier

    You can travel 2,000 blocks in just 6 minutes, I don't see how this would help much.

    i don't want to be mean but they don't have to make be /warp wild they can just make it so u can do /wild, and i know cuts I'm kinda of a dev and I'm co owner on a couple of servers

    yea just download a plugin thats called randomtp and change it to /wild like that everyone gets a random tp to a random place of the world, i think tho the only problem is where u tp and how long is the border

    I mean, it's not really a bad idea but the only issue I can think of is that, as Ben mentioned, you can find a random X and Z, that's easy, but if someone has a skybase then people will tp on top of it because the Y-coord can't be random.
    Uhh, it'd be something like this: (please excuse my code, it looks like spaghetti because idk java)

    so you either always goto the top block no matter what it is, or you suffocate or die of fall dmg if you choose a purely randomized Y-coord.
    Of course, you could always specify literally every block to ignore, like this..
    if (randomLoc.getBlock().getType() != Material.WOOD && randomLoc.getBlock().getType() != Material.OBSIDIAN && //literally every other block that isn't natural) {
    p.teleport(randomLoc);
    but that's messy and probably will end in a bunch of spaghetti and abuse
    I'm really bad at explaining when tired
    basically the only way I can think of to find a random position isn't able to effectively ignore player-placed blocks unless there's a way to check for player placed blocks and afaik there's not
    so the random tp could only avoid suffocating/fall damage if it also sometimes tp's to skybases T-T

    TL;DR Spaghetti code makes this kind of impractical and it's not that hard to walk for a few minutes, dammit.

    (To long, didn't read the code) Set a block area 1000 blocks around 0 and make them spawn randomly around that... This way the chances of running onto a base I find would be less and it stops "Timelord scrubs killing noobs".

    Yes but when you do /wild is some severs in past experience if there was skybase above you would still spawn on the ground.

    How about making spawn protection protect again fall damage/fire damage/lava damage/etc.?

    That's actually all that needs to happen, I've ran away from wild spawns multiple times very easily. :D

    So have I, idk what they're talking about, lol.
