Arsenal has a problem with hackers. I try to report them with @, but it can take up to ten minutes before the hacker gets banned. We need a better solution. Discuss.

I feel like there should be mods for specific gamemodes. Mods almost never play on anything besides MCI and sometimes FearSG.

That's because that's where most players go. Agar.io also has a problem with hackers. The problem with having specific gamemode mods is the fact that our other gamemodes can get boring very easily (relatively simple, fast paced, little to no skill needed). Having shifts might alleviate that problem of getting bored of a certain gamemode.

    More mods lol.

Server has 200+ people on weekends

We have 8 staff members half of them are playing UHC or Hypixel. 200 to 8? Lol we need like 5-10 more staff members.

That seems like a lot but its really not.

Just to clarify, we have 18 people in the staff's skype group. So that's 17 excluding mattrick because he doesn't do a lot of moderating

EDIT: 16 because for some reason kendy is in there twice

Doesn't feel like we have that many, plus Jack and Ben don't count cause they moderating its very minimal

I'm not saying we can't have the mods play MCI. Just some mods need to be assigned to certain gamemodes where they check out the problems when one arrives. Mods can also ban people on, say, MCI, but their main gamemode should be one of the others.

    @OhhMage
He supplied a rough distinction of the play times, BBear does not keep logs on the hours staff play.

Well to be fair it does depend on when you can, as it is just a game.

@OhhMage As Wub said I only supplied an estimate of what I see. I don't keep track of x amount of hours each staff member is online per day because I honestly am not around that much, as I have much more important things to tend to (Like work for example)

The problem here is that there are a lot of american mods and not from other timezones like if we look at europe:

    bbear- said he's never one
Garth- Sometimes really busy with school
wub- Broke his laptop as bbear said

as you see there are 3 europe mods that are really busy so in that timezone there are a lot of hackers that have free game without having any trouble

if we look at austrialian timezone:

Whalebit- Hes on a lot in other timezones too so I say hes fine the way it is but play UHC a lot
    awesome- plays other servers too

    ^^^^^^^^^^

Austrialian time is also free game

that are my conculusions if you have anything to say about this feel free to say it

The only timezone where hackers get ban easily is american time

I found tons of high presgties hacking because the mods are never on in a three to four hour spam everyday and the only person who is like a mod in ts is Ben. So they need a better way to catch hackers @BritishBear they might be on a lot but the dead time as me and a few others call it need someone to be on I've caught duder hacking several times around this time but nobody really wants to record him so he won't ever be banned. Also half the mods barely play on the server I'm in ts no mods on project mayhem cause they fucking play hypixel so why don't they be staff there instead a server that is filled with hackers that don't get banned cause no staff is fucking online.

Why on earth would you talk about someone you want banned for hacking on the forum, second of all you could always just record these hackers....

Let me just reiterate that we do here is voluntary. We moderate these servers out of pure good will. We do not get paid for what we do, neither have any of us either asked some form of payment. Therefore we are not required to be on the servers at all times, every staff member knows and understands this, the owners included. They have also never asked us to always be on at a particular time or day because like I said, this is all voluntary work. As, many of us have said, we cannot be on at all times because we all have a life. Some of us have school, family, friends, work, which will always have a higher priority than a minecraft server, because again, it's all voluntary work. I have a job, and I sure as heck don't want to leave my job (my only source of money income) for a minecraft server I work for freely, I'm sure all the other staff in the same situation with me will be with me on this. Same goes for school, they cannot ditch school to moderate a minecraft server and expect not to be in trouble. They have to study or do whatever people do in school these days.

One thing that really bugs me about this post is how you claim that nobody really wants to record duder "hacking" but at the same time you claim you've caught him "hacking" several times. If the hackers bother you that you've decided to resort to explicit language, then why on earth don't you record? There are numerous free software out there that anyone can use to record. You have to help us to help yourself. If you don't want to record someone hacking then don't you dare come complaining to us about hackers when we have much more of a tougher job than you do. You have no idea how tough our job can be sometimes.
